Progress of Bond Projects Brings IMPROVED Facilities
The district has come a long  way with regard to the 2016 bond referendum for capital improvements, and students and staff members are enjoying new and improved facilities. As highlights, the cafeteria remodel was finished for the start of school and the track, field, bleachers and comfort station were celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony during this year’s homecoming.

English Scholars Program - Cultivates Effective Writers and Creative Minds
Many programs make the Herricks Public Schools unique in their broad array of learning opportunities, and the English Scholars Program is among them. Offered at both Herricks Middle School and Herricks High School, this course simultaneously builds students up as writers and provides an outlet through which they can express themselves, with their intrinsic passions being the primary driving force.

Herricks HS Students Earn BIG ACHIEVEMENTS
Herricks High School is proud to announce a total of 37 recognitions in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations to Hannah Chu, Ankit Jain, Christina Kim, Jonathan Klibansky, Simon Liu, Eish Maheshwari, Mariana Mohsen, Cayla Moy, Nicole Park, Uttsav Patel and Sahith Vadada for being named National Merit semifinalists, and to Commended Students Sanjana Ahmed, Christopher Chao, Justin Cheung, Michelle Dong, Julia Feldman, Aaron Kalani, Austin Kim, Joanna Lau, Melissa Lau, Davina Lee, Sunny Liu, Christopher Lo, Felisha Ma, William McCreery, Rushikesh Patel, Jason Podell, Soham Rawal, Ronit Shamtoob, Hita Soni, Andrew Tsai, Michelle Tse, Hanna Yen, Raffaella ZAustin Zhao, Iris Zheng and Jeff Zuo.
