Searingtown Works Together to Support Ukraine

From making bracelets to buying pierogis, Searingtown School has come together to fundraise for those who have been affected by Russia's war on Ukraine.

Over the past several weeks, staff and students collected and donated supplies such as gauze, bandages, and personal hygiene items. Staff raised $1,020 with a Peace Pierogi fundraiser that was introduced by Anastasia Kochuk, our ENL teacher whose family is in Ukraine.

Social worker Kathy Wong supplied bracelets to show support for Ukraine. These bracelets utilized the colors of the Ukraian flag and were worn by one of our first grade classes.
