Lunch Service During School Closure

Please rest assured that during this challenging time, the Herricks Board of Education and Administration is striving to provide for your child, that includes lunch for our students that are free and reduced eligible.

The Herricks Grab and Go lunch program will continue this upcoming week with service on Monday and Wednesday only.  This change is based on this past week’s participation and request from families to pick up meals at one time for multiple days.

We will continue to serve from one central location, our High School between 11am and 1pm on Monday and Wednesday only.

Pickup location will be behind the kitchen at the High School from the loading dock in the parking lot in the North West side of the school.  Please follow the signs as you enter the main High School driveway off Shelter Rock Road. A security guard will also direct you.

Two meal options will be available: (1) sun butter/jelly sandwich or (2) cheese sandwich with milk and fruit in a clear plastic bag.

Please know that our dedicated food and facilities staff are taking every precaution possible to ensure the safety of your family as well as their own.  We encourage appropriate social distancing practices at all times while picking up your meals.

Essentially you can drive by to pick up.  You will need to show some form of identification if an adult is picking up lunch for their child and the eligible student is not present.

Please keep safe and know we are doing all we can to support our students and community. We thank you for your cooperation in this difficult time and please stay healthy.
