Herricks Middle School sixth grade representatives and staff proudly presented a “big check” for $7,716.60 to benefit Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park.  Roughly 300 sixth graders participated in this year’s Annual Read-a-Thon event that took place over four weeks in March.  Herricks Middle School has been organizing this community service project for 22 years and has raised nearly $300,000 to date for the children’s charity.
