Students Attend P.E.A.K. Festival
On Nov. 18, selected 4th graders from Center Street, Denton Avenue, and Searingtown School participated in the 20th Annual P.E.A.K. (Parents, Educators, and Kids) Festival sponsored by the Nassau Music Educators Association.
The students prepared music with their school music teachers and joined in the chorus with other students in districts across Nassau County.
They had the opportunity to take part in music workshops including Musical Escape Room, Australian Rhythm Sticks, World Drumming, Folk Dancing and Ukulele, among others.
The day culminated with a performance showcasing all the activities of the day.
