Herricks High School Students Experience World Leadership Forum

Herricks High School students experience World Leadership Forum

Herricks High School’s senior Model United Nations participants attended the Foreign Policy Association's World Leadership Forum in New York City on Sept. 26. They had the opportunity to hear four different panels in sessions titled, “the Word from Wall Street,” “the Global Economic Outlook,” “the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative” and “Global Risk.”

Three of the panel discussions were held at the PricwaterhouseCoopers building while the other took place in the Harvard Club. Speakers included New York University professor Earl Carr, Economic Commentator Alexis Crow of Price Waterhouse Coopers (also a frequent guest on CNN), British Politician Lord Howell and David M. Rubenstein Fellow Ryan Hass, among other economists.

“The students had an amazing time building new connections, and meeting some of the biggest names in the world of global economic forecasting,” said senior Jaden Wong. The club hopes to make similar trips in the upcoming year.
