    The district is proud to recognize the twenty-seven talented student artists who were recently selected for the Art Supervisors Association All County Art Exhibition which took place on March 10 at Clarke High School in East Meadow.

    Health and Safety week kicked off at Denton. Students were treated to a special educational virtual presentation to help raise safety awareness. Fifth graders in Mrs. Carrie’s class listened attentively.

    The Denton Ducks were in attendance at Citifield. The Denton band, chorus and orchestra performed the National Anthem. What an achievement!  Congratulations to everyone!

    Rohan Murphy Visits Denton Avenue School

    Denton Avenue students had the opportunity to meet Rohan Mario Murphy.  Rohan is a national recognized youth motivational speaker. Rohan, who lost both of his legs, started to wrestle in his High School freshman year. He became a stand-out Penn state athlete in wrestling. He inspires students everywhere through his actions.

    Denton Avenue students kicked off the school year with smiles on their faces. Old friends and new ones alike seamlessly began the school year building our school community for a new school year. Kindergartners in Mrs. Munoz’s class were all smiles.

    Denton - Simple Circuits with Fourth Grade

    Students in Mrs. Kayes' class created simple closed circuits while visiting the Denton Maker Space. Using aluminum foil, a button cell battery and a LED light, students learned about the two types of polarity. There are (+,cathode) and a negative (-, anode) A LED light will only light up if you have wired the polarity correctly.

    Denton students participate in the 'Kids Heart Challenge'

    The 4th and 5th grade students at Denton participated in the Kids Heart Challenge during Physical Education. This is an annual event designed to promote physical fitness and activity, celebrate our health, and to support the American Heart Association.
