• Herricks Mock Trial Moves Up

    The Herricks Mock Trial team is advancing to the "Sweet 16" after winning their most recent competition on March 4. The team looks forward to its next round against Plainview Old Bethpage at the Nassau Supreme Courthouse in Mineola on March 18.

  • Denton Avenue Celebrates PARP

    On March 3, Denton Avenue Elementary was fortunate to enjoy a visit from talented author and illustrator Eric Velasquez. The event was held as part of PARP Week, which celebrated People as Reading Partners through activities planned and organized by the Parent Teacher Association and Librarian Donna Deodato.

  • Herricks Chosen as "Best Delegation"

    On Saturday, March 7th, forty-two members from the Herricks World Affairs club competed in one-day debate competition at Hewlett High School. Herricks was chosen as the "Best Delegation," designating Herricks as the overall winners.

  • Herricks HS Senior Named Nassau County Art Scholarship Winner

    Herricks High School senior Vanessa Peng has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 Nassau County Art Supervisors Association Senior Art Scholarship Award. Vanessa will receive the award at a special ceremony at Farmingdale State College on March 15.

  • Westminster Choir College High School Invitational

    On Feb. 27, Herricks High School’s Chamber Choir travelled to Princeton, New Jersey to participate in the Westminster Choir College High School Invitational. Together with Glen Cove High School and five schools from New Jersey and Delaware, the students performed for a panel of choral conductors.

  • NY DECA 60th Annual State Career Conference

    Seventy Herricks DECA members attended the conference held in Rochester, New York. Students competed against other NY DECA members to try and reach their goal of making it to the International Career Development Conference.
