• Board honors 25 Commended Students

    During the Herricks Public Schools’ regular board of education meeting on Oct. 10, the board recognized 25 seniors from Herricks High School who were designated as Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program. The students placed among the top 50,000 of more than 1.5 million students who entered the National Merit Scholarship competition by taking the 2018 Preliminary SAT.

  • High School MUN Club Participates in the World Leadership Forum

    On Wednesday, September 25th, senior members of the High School Model United Nations Club attended the World Leadership Forum at the Harvard Club in Manhattan. Students were given the opportunity to listen to esteemed panel speakers which featured prominent economists, esteemed US ambassadors, and published authors.

  • Twenty-five Herricks HS students earn National Merit Commendations

    Herricks High School is proud to congratulate 25 current seniors that have been identified as Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program. This academic competition was initiated in 1955 as a way to provide students with opportunities to receive recognition for their scholastic talents.
