Sixth Grader Named Finalist in Metropolitan Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition
The district is proud to recognize Herricks Middle School sixth grader Theodore Lee for his outstanding achievement as a finalist in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York Concerto and Vocal Competition.
Selected as one of 16 finalists from a competitive pool of 80 applicants, Theodore earned recognition in the Instrumental Division I, performing the Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto on February 3. The MYO Concerto and Vocal Competition provides young musicians with the opportunity to perform at a high level and gain recognition for their artistry, with Division I open to grades 4-8 and Division II for grades 9-12.
