Herricks High School continues its tradition of academic excellence with 26 seniors recently named Commended Students in the 2025-2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

To qualify for this honor, students have typically scored in the top 3% of all students nationally on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test taken during their junior year.

“We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work and dedication to academic excellence,” said principal Joan Keegan. “Being recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program is a tremendous honor that reflects not only their individual achievements, but also the strong support of their families, teachers and the Herricks community.”
