The district welcomed students back for the start of the 2025–2026 school year with a celebratory atmosphere and a “soft start” on Aug. 28.
The “soft start” initiative, introduced for high school students in 2023 and now expanded districtwide for all students in grades K–12, is designed to foster a welcoming environment in smaller groups. During this opening day, students reconnected with classmates, built class spirit and engaged in intentional, meaningful activities to prepare for a successful academic year.
“We are excited to welcome our students, teachers and administrators back for another school year,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tony Sinanis. “This initiative helps set a positive tone for learning, growth and community right from the start.”
