Over 200 Herricks Students Shine at All-County Music Festival

Over 200 talented music students from all five Herricks Public Schools – Center Street, Denton Avenue and Searingtown Elementary Schools, Herricks Middle School and Herricks High School – participated in this year’s annual All-County Music Festival, sponsored by the Nassau Music Educators Association, held from January 6-18.

Following many hours of focused rehearsals with esteemed conductors, students had the opportunity to showcase their musical skills during a culminating performance for an audience of more than 2,400 at the Tilles Center at Long Island University’s CW Post Campus in Brookville.

This prestigious festival brought together top student musicians from across Nassau County. More than 8,600 students from over 57 school districts were recommended by their school music teachers for consideration, with just 1,800 ultimately selected. Herricks was proud to be represented by over 200 students across band, orchestra, chorus and jazz ensembles.

Congratulations to all of our students who earned this remarkable honor and represented Herricks with excellence!
