Herricks Staff Comes Together at Opening Day Convocation

On Aug. 26, the district was excited to welcome back our staff at our annual Opening Day Convocation! Kicking off the new school year together strengthens our sense of community and our shared passion for education.

A heartfelt thank you to the students who joined us and shared what being a Highlander means to them, or offered a piece of creative writing that reflected who they are – as students and as individuals. Their words made it clear that being part of this school district is just as meaningful to our students as it is to our staff. Their reflections brought both laughter and tears to the room and served as a powerful reminder of why we go above and beyond to support them every day.

We hope our staff has an incredible year ahead, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things that will happen across our schools. Here’s to a year of growth, connection and continued excellence!
