On May 20, HHS senior Daniel Nam was honored with Good Deeds Award by the National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE). The Good Deed Awards were established by the NCFJE on Long Island to reward teenagers for their fine examples of good deeds, kindness and their pioneering activities in the transmission of values of identity.
Daniel is an impressive member of the Herricks community whose spirit of service and strong moral fortitude are exemplary. His missionary work and volunteerism with ROOTS, our Habitat for Humanity chapter, and with his church have been stellar. Daniel's heart is huge and his empathy and care for others knows no bounds.
His future pursuits, to study pediatric nursing with the intention of travelling to administer medical attention where needed, illustrates his desire to be a helper and to build a better global community. We are so proud of Daniel, his achievements, and his great impact on our school.
