The Herricks School District is committed to preparing our students for success today and into the future.While important, mastery of content knowledge is not sufficient in preparing our students for college and careers. In our rapidly changing world, many of the professions our students will be engaging in do not exist today. Our focus includes the development of the skills and competencies our students will need to be prepared for the later part of the 21st Century. As such, we have created the Herricks Portrait of a Graduate, which includes six essential competencies that we want our students to develop before they graduate from Herricks. The Portrait of a Graduate serves as the District’s “North Star,” guiding our programs through the 21st Century.
