Compliance Training

State and federal regulations require that all school district employees complete annual compliance training. The compliance training associated with the topics listed below are intended to provide employees with information to promote a safe and healthy work environment. While all employees must complete the compliance training annually, the District may also require additional training relevant to employees’ work responsibilities.

Per diem or hourly employees hired after 9/1, must log into Vector Solutions at https://herricks-ny.safeschools.com/login  to complete all required training within 30 days of hire. 

  • The following training will be facilitated during Superintendent's Conference Days:
    • Mental Illness and Disorders Awareness for Educators
    • Emergency Plan
    • Violence Prevention (GCN Video: Peer Counseling, Anti-Violence and Conflict Resolution Programs)

    The following training must be completed through Global Compliance Network (GCN) by October 2nd.
    • Blood-borne Pathogens (Nurses and Coaches)
    • Dignity for All Students Act/Code of Conduct NY
    • Sexual harassment
    • Cleaning Chemicals (Right to Know)
    • Child Abuse
    • Computer Use Policies
    • Student Data Privacy
    • Digital Security/Protection
    • Ethics & Boundaries for School Employees *New 
    • Workplace Violence
