  • August 5, 2021 Board of Education Meeting

    The August 5, 2021 Board of Education Meeting will be held in-person and via live stream. The meeting will take place in the Community Center Cafeteria at 7:30pm and will include an Internal Audit Committee Update by Cullen & Danowski, LLP. The meeting will also include a Capital Projects Update by Park East Construction and BBS Architects. Members of the Community are invited to attend in-person or can view the meeting remotely.

  • Herricks Welcomes New Denton Avenue School Principal

    The Herricks Public Schools Board of Education has appointed Dominick Tolipano as the new Denton Avenue School Principal, effective Aug. 1. He joins Herricks from the Mineola School District, where he spent the last 21 years as an administrator and teacher.

    Herricks High School has ranked highly on U.S. News and World Report’s 2021 list of Best High Schools. The high school has moved up to No. 5 on Long Island, No. 33 in New York State and No. 276 in the nation compared to No. 6, No. 43 and No. 412 in 2019 when the list was last published. Herricks is among the top 2% of 24,000 high schools rated nationwide.
