HMS Conjures Magic with The Wizard of Oz
From the first notes of the overture performed by Herricks student musicians to the final curtain call of thunderous applause, the HMS production of “The Wizard of Oz” was a rich musical theatre treat that displayed in full color the true breadth of talent that is being developed within the district.

HHS students Perform at NYSSMA All-State Festival
In December, our All-State student musicians traveled to Rochester to perform at the annual All-State Music Festival. The event, which is sponsored by the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), is considered among the highest honors a school musician can attain.

January 25, 2024 Board of Education Meeting
The January 25, 2024 Board of Education Meeting will be held in-person and via live stream. The meeting will take place in the Denton Avenue School Cafeteria at 7:30pm and will include a Denton Avenue School Update by Mr. Dominick Tolipano, Denton Avenue School Principal. The meeting will also include Recognition of Outstanding Student Achievement.

Content Creation in Action
Students in Mr. Heit’s Content Creation elective at Herricks Middle School are working towards the creation of their first podcast episodes. Each group or individual “host” have been working on developing their ideas into original intellectual creations and creating blueprints that will serve as a structure for their unique podcast shows.

Searingtown Holds 4th Annual Scottie Fun Run
Today, the students at Searingtown Elementary held their 4th annual Scottie Fun Run—this exciting fundraiser event sees kids from each grade level run along a circular track to exciting music in order to raise money for a new playground swing set (a goal which was not only met, but also surpassed)!
