Learn how to support your child's reading comprehension at home.

* Encourage your child to create a mental image (visualize) or play the scene like a movie in his/her head. Ask them to describe what their story was about: setting, characters, feelings ... in their head.

* Ask them to retell the important things that happened in the story.  Discuss the beginning/middle /ending. 

* Ask questions about what he/she has already read to themselves or to you.
