My Expectations

  • Expectations for Student Behavior

My personal guidelines for student behavior are discussed with the students on the first day of school.  They will always be posted here on the website.

Respect and honesty are the main goals of the classroom setting.  I treat each of my students with a great deal of respect.  I expect each student to treat his/her peers and myself with the same regard.

Every student enters my room with a clean slate.  Any reputations they may have will be left at the door.

If one person is talking, I expect everyone in the class to respect that person by listening and paying attention to what is said.  No one will talk over anyone else in my class; everyone will have his/her chance to speak.

I come to class everyday prepared.  I expect all students to do the same, to the best of their ability.

Cell phones and mp3 Players are not to be used during class time.  Failure to adhere to this will result in the confiscation of these objects.

    Expectations for Student Work

I want all students to work hard.  As long as their assignments are completed to the best of their ability, I am pleased.

I do not make comparisons between students.  I understand that each student learns differently.  Their different learning styles will not influence their results in the classroom.

Any form of cheating or plagiarism will not be accepted nor tolerated.  All students' work must be their own.  I wish for students to take pride in their own work.
