This course is for students who have taken Algebra 2 Trigonometry.  The course covers algebra, sequences and series, conics, general theory of equations, complex numbers, analytic geometry, exponential and logarithmic functions. At the end of the year, we will start an introduction to the concepts of calculus. Whether the students are taking calculus next year here at Herricks or at colleges, these last topics could serve as a preview of what to expect in their next level classes. This is the first year we are teaching common core Precalculus, but it is expected we will NOT be using calculators in class.  This course has a midterm in January and concludes with a final exam.
