Herricks High School celebrates the Class of 2022

Herricks High School’s Class of 2022 concluded a major chapter in their lives during the 63rd Annual Commencement Ceremony, held on the evening of June 24. The seniors, along with members of the administration, Board of Education and high school faculty, entered the school’s field to the delight of hundreds of guests that filled the bleachers. The band performed “Pomp and Circumstance” and students led their fellow graduates and guests in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, which was followed by “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Herricks orchestra director appointed to Juilliard program

Herricks High School Orchestra Director Catherine Birke was recently appointed music director of the Juilliard Music Advancement Program, also known as MAP. MAP is a Saturday program for intermediate and advanced music students who demonstrate a commitment to artistic excellence.
