    Families in Darlene Utz’s fourth grade class at Searingtown Elementary School came together to plan for and celebrate the Lunar New Year. Many parents contributed to an exciting and educational event for students in various ways.

  • Denton Avenue Book Club Addresses Important Topics

    Denton Avenue School parents, teachers andPrincipal Loren Borgese have been participating in a book club this school year as a way to connect as a community, through literature. They engaged in discussions around children, parenting and the positive long-term qualities – such as resilience and determination – that can arise from allowing kids to experience challenges.

  • Herricks MUN hosts Mini-MUNC IV: Hong Kong Protests

    This January, our Model UN Class and Executive Board held this year's 3rd annual MiniMUNC Conference with the delegates from Mrs. Graef and Dunne's AP Human Geography Class. In 2019, news outlets have released alarming reports and images of the ground-breaking protests occurring in the streets of Hong Kong. News of the infamous extradition bill has plagued media platforms and reached the international community by storm. Therefore, for this year's conference, our team decided to create a Joint Crisis Committee simulating the current issue between Hong Kong and China regarding the passing of the extradition bill, taking place in May 2019.

  • Two Herricks Seniors Earn Regeneron Recognition

    Herricks High School seniors Carrie Hsu and Bhav Patel have been named Semi-Finalists in the 2020 Regeneron Science Talent Search, as announced by the Society for Science & the Public. They are recognized among the top 300 scholars for this prestigious math and science competition and will be awarded $2,000 each.
