    Herricks High School congratulates senior Grace Kang for representing the district at the All-National Festival in Orlando, Florida. The event, sponsored by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), was held from Nov. 7-10. After an audition process, Grace, a violinist, was selected from many applicants to perform as a member of the All-National Symphony Orchestra.

  • Herricks Orchestra Featured at All-State Festival

    The Herricks High School Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Ms. Catherine Fish was invited to perform at the NYSSMA All-State Festival on Nov. 29 at the Rochester Convention Center in Rochester, New York. This group was one of only a few select groups in New York State to receive this honor and the only orchestra invited to perform.

  • Herricks Seniors Grow from Girls and Boys State Experiences

    Three Herricks High School seniors attended weeklong Girls and Boys State programs during this past summer and had the opportunity to gain governmental experience. Christopher Soo participated in Boys State, sponsored by the American Legion and held at SUNY Morrisville, while Pranjal Jain and Amber Wiqas took part in the American Legion Auxiliary’s Girls State at The College at Brockport, SUNY. Both are said to be among the most respected learning programs in the country.

  • Herricks HICAP Club Stepped It Up For Another Year to sponsor a Holiday Adopt-a-Child Program.

    Herricks students who are apart of the HICAP club (Herricks International Children's Aid Program) stepped it up for another year to sponsor a Holiday Adopt-a-Child Program.

  • Searingtown Brings Winter Wonderland to Holiday Shoppers

    On Dec. 8, more than 80 young musicians that comprise Searingtown School’s Chamber Music Club descended upon the atrium at Lord and Taylor department store in Manhasset to spread holiday cheer for an adoring audience of shoppers. Performing classics such as “Jingle Bell Rock” and “The Dreidel Song,” the Chamber Club drew a crowd of hundreds overlooking from above and filling the atrium below, taking a moment from the hustle and bustle to appreciate the magic of the season.

  • Herricks Participates in Princeton Model UN Conference

    Herricks Model UN students from both the Model UN class and club attended the Princeton Model United Nations conference in New Brunswick NJ from November 15 - 18, 2018. Our delegates worked together with other delegates from other schools, representing different countries, to create diplomatic solution to international issues.

  • Outstanding Physical Education Students

    Congratulations to the 2018-2019 Outstanding Herricks High School Physical Education Students, Nicholas Capelle and Liana Marino. They were honored at the Nassau Zone of The New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance’s annual awards dinner ceremony on Dec. 3 in Woodbury.

  • Dig Pink Makes a Difference

    Herricks High School’s girls and boys volleyball teams dedicated a game to the Dig Pink movement and raised a total of $1,500 in donations for the Side-Out Foundation. This organization supports breast cancer research and treatment.
