    What is a Mystery Reader?

Mystery Readers are special guests who come to our classroom to read a story to students. Mystery Readers can be parents, grandparents, older siblings, or other relatives. Occasionally, mystery readers may be staff members or former students from the Herricks School District.

    When do Mystery Readers come?

Mystery Readers will surprise our class with a virtual visit via Google Meet or in person on selected Fridays from 10:30 -11:00. However, if a Mystery Reader needs a different day to suit their schedule, we'll do our very best to try to accommodate them!

    Why Mystery Readers?

Students love to see their parents, grandparents, and special friends get involved in our classroom. Mystery Readers generate excitement for my students! It's an easy way to get involved because it requires little time, but the memories will last forever for the surprised students!

How do I become a Mystery Reader?

I am using a digital platform to organize this activity called SignUp.com

Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

    1) Click the link below:

    https://signup.com/go/XRmSqzb
    2) Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you would like.
    3) Sign up! It's easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.com.

Note: SignUp.com does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact me and I can sign you up manually.

Remember, you are a mystery to the whole class, so try your very best not to tell your child when you will be coming!

Please only sign up for one spot per person. Students love having the opportunity to have a variety of mystery readers join the class.
