Hi! My name is Jaclyn Mirabile and I am your school social worker at Denton Avenue! This is my fifth year working here at Herricks. I graduated Fordham University with my Masters in Social Work and went on to work in NYC public schools before coming to Herricks. I love working in elementary schools and spending time getting to know students both inside and outside of their classrooms. I provide counseling both individually and in small groups and also faciliate full classroom social emotional lessons. Topics I focus on include self-esteem, goal setting, conflict resolution, resiliency, stress management, coping strategies, family changes, and much more! When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, getting some exercise and going on hikes. I can support both students and their families in a variety ways.
