    Herricks High School honors the December Students of the Month who have excelled in the subject areas noted.

  • January 2019 Mid-Term Schedule

    Availabe as a PDF download.... Attention HS Parents, guardians and students: The second academic quarter will conclude on Friday, January 18th, 2019. School will not be in session on Monday, January 21, 2019 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Day. Mid-term exams will be administered starting Tuesday, January 22 and run through Friday January 25, 2019.

  • Herricks High School Students Experience World Leadership Forum

    Herricks High School’s senior Model United Nations participants attended the Foreign Policy Association's World Leadership Forum in New York City on Sept. 26. They had the opportunity to hear four different panels in sessions titled, “the Word from Wall Street,” “the Global Economic Outlook,” “the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative” and “Global Risk.”

  • NYSSMA 2019 Solo Music Festival

    All students must submit this form to their music teacher, along with the appropriate registration fee, by January 23, 2019 for participation in any of these festivals. Late registration is not accepted. All instrumentalists, pianists and vocalists are eligible to participate. Students wishing to audition for All-State must be in tenth or eleventh grade. Students are given the opportunity to perform a prepared piece before a judge and receive a written evaluation and score. Scores are also considered for participation in All-County and All-State groups.

  • Three Top Elementary Schools - Herricks Soars on Lists of Top Districts

    The Herricks Public Schools has been ranked the 7th best school district in New York State by Niche.com out of more than 600 schools that were considered, moving up a spot since last year. When looking only at Long Island schools, Herricks was ranked No. 5. Herricks was additionally ranked by Niche.com as No. 34 on a list of the 2019 Best School Districts in America – a significant jump from last year’s placement as No. 64.

  • Bond 2016 Update

    Herricks Public Schools are pleased to announce the progress of projects included in the bond referendum that was approved last school year. Phase 1, which involves work related to the high school track and field, as well as the installation of “smart locks” on all classroom doors throughout the district, is nearing completion and the district is preparing to enter the next stages.
