• Herricks HS Welcomes WWII Veterans for Meaningful Presentations

    Herricks High School welcomed four WWII Veterans on Oct. 27 for a significant and educational event held in collaboration with English 12 classes. Tech Sergeant Gil Blum, Staff Sergeant Dominick Critelli, Corporal David Marshal and Seaman First Class Carl Tringali discussed their experiences protecting their country during the war. Blum, Critelli and Marshall served in the U.S. Army and Tringali served in the U.S. Navy.

  • Herricks HS Junior Earns Highly-Coveted Top Score on AP Exam

    Congratulations to Herricks High School junior Carolyn Lau for scoring a perfect score level 5 on the Advanced Placement Spanish Language and Culture Exam. A Language Immersion program student, Carolyn took the exam last May as a sophomore, two years earlier than what is typically expected.

  • Two Herricks HS Teachers Earn Outstanding Educator Awards

    The Herricks Public Schools are pleased to congratulate two valued faculty members who been recognized with the University of Chicago’s Outstanding Educator Awards. Herricks High School science teacher Caitlin Etri and social studies teacher Melissa Jacobs were nominated by Herricks graduates who acknowledged the educators’ positive impacts on their lives and significant roles in their high school experiences.
