Using Technology to Help your Child

 

This program will introduce you to some new tools to help your child learn and communicate.

 

Huma Khan will demonstrate how she has equipped her child’s IPod as a tool to help him make choices and show her what he needs.

 

This presentation will explore the new area of video modeling, as well as the Activity Trainer, flexible and economical video modeling software that can be easily used by both parents and schools.  The software is fun for gen ed young children as well as a range of special learners. Karl Smith, Founder of AES, program architect, and parent, will present via video conferencing.

 

Plus:  We will introduce Searingtown School’s Professional Lending Library, which includes books on special needs that may be checked out by parents
