This book is a historical fiction, picture book about two Jewish, Russian sisters. It is full of adventure. Annushka and her little sister leave Russia and their beloved grandparents to start a new life in America with their father. On the ship, it is crowded and there is barely any food. The problem in this story is that Annushka has to be brave when she is really scared, especially when they get lost and while the doctors are looking at them. Will they ever find their Papa?
