How My Parents Learned to Eat
by Ina R. Friedman

Difficulty: Easy Reading

If you want to read a funny/ cultural book then "How My Parents Learn to Eat is the book you should read. How My Parents Learned to Eat." This is a fun story about an American man who fell in love with a Japanese woman but couldn’t have dinner with her because he couldn’t eat with chopsticks and she couldn’t eat with a fork & knife. Find out what happens next in the story by reading the book.

I could connect with this story because once I had to learn to eat a new food. My uncle is a kosher vegetarian so when he was visiting us he wanted kosher, vegetarian, Chinese food. I was not thrilled at the prospect of eating kosher vegetarian food. But I liked it!

The author wrote three books about the Holocaust. She wants people to understand other people’s cultures. Thanks again for reading my book review.
